聖靈月刊分 〈主題特寫〉
◎撰文／涵 ◎期數:297期 ◎2002.06號 有鑒於主內同靈離婚率增加的現象，並美國青年傾向於婚前自由戀愛的交友方式，美國總會於數年前提出對主內即將結婚的青年進行婚前輔導的構想，提供主內青年在進入婚姻前，相關的聖經道理勉勵以及實際家庭生活經營的提醒。期以提昇日後婚姻生活的融洽與和諧。
婚前輔導的三大目標
一、了解影響兩性婚姻穩定性的因素：如兩性對婚姻抉擇的動機、對愛侶的期待，克服彼此間差異的能力與了解彼此信仰生活的步調。
二、提昇未婚弟兄姊妹之間的關係：以聖經的教訓為基礎，倡導建設性的兩性溝通模式。
三、提供婚姻生活的資訊：從現實的生活層面思索經營成功美滿家庭的要素，並如何在夫妻間、家庭與工作及社交生活中取得平衡。
婚前輔導的內容包含五個層面
一、評估婚姻穩定性：從了解自我開始的個人內向式探索層面出發，明白自己與愛侶間的異同，以增強相互溝通協調能力。並從了解婚姻的意義，奠定婚姻穩定的基礎。
二、離開父母（創二24）：成熟的身、心、靈是獨立生活的要件，亦是成功婚姻的基石。同時提供青年在婚前與婚後生活上與雙方父母互動、溝通的思考方向。
三、與妻子連合（創二24）：從實務面探討性與婚姻的關係，並思索信仰生活中雙方在主裏合一的溝通原則。
四、兩人合為一體（創二25）：從基督愛教會的關係，學習夫妻在婚姻生活中相愛、相體諒的課題。
五、基督化的家庭：以基督是我家之主的精神建立敬神愛人的家庭祭壇，教養敬虔的後裔。
婚前輔導的實施原則與狀況
按美國總會原本的規劃，婚前輔導的執行由傳道或聖職人員於婚禮前四到五個月開始進行四到五次，並每次兩小時的婚前輔導課程。但實際執行方面囿於有限的傳道人力與時間，無法切實執行四到五次每次兩小時的正式婚前輔導課程。
以北加州兩間真耶穌教會的執行狀況為例，主內青年向教會正式提出在會堂結婚的申請後，於婚禮籌備期間，駐牧傳道會邀請即將步入紅毯那端的青年到家中小聚，以總會婚前輔導講義為基礎並個人經驗，與這對青年彼此分享討論婚姻的課題。至於缺乏傳道工人駐牧的區域，想要接受婚前輔導的青年，可透過電話聯絡或利用傳道者短暫的巡牧期間或靈修會的空檔或交通時間，私下與傳道者進行婚姻諮詢。
婚前輔導人員方面，目前仍以傳道為主要輔導人員。美國教會方面雖希望自教會信徒中培訓一些婚前輔導人員以補足傳道人力不足的缺乏。但由於婚前輔導所涵蓋的層面較廣，同時亦可能觸及較深入的私人敏感議題，若處理不慎極可能引起信徒間的誤解。因此，尋覓與培訓合適的婚前輔導員是當務之急。
成功美滿的婚姻需要夫妻雙方共同努力經營與追求。婚前輔導為即將進入婚姻的青年男女提供一個預備自己、規劃將來的思考方向。願主內青年能在主裏建立敬神愛人的家庭，在婚姻生活中相互扶持，攜手同行天國路，直到主來的那一日。

III.Actual Practice and Principles of Premarital Counseling 婚前輔導的實施原則
A.Sessions to be conducted by pastors or ministers 4 to 5 months prior
to wedding, a total of 4 to 5 sessions, two hours per session.
